Commission Types

  • Contemporary oil or acrylic portraits that capture personality and emotional presence rather than photographic likeness. I specialise in work that reveals something intangible—the quality of a person's gaze, the weight of their experience, their essential character.

Ideal for: Individuals seeking meaningful portraiture and families wanting modern heirloom pieces.

    Starting from: $800 (30cm × 40cm)

  • Paintings that honour relationships, loss, or significant life transitions through objects, still life, or memories captured in photos. These pieces transform grief, gratitude, or remembrance into something you can live with—art that holds space for what matters most.

Ideal for: Memorial tributes, milestones, marking significant life changes, honouring family legacy through meaningful objects.

    Starting from: $800 (30cm × 40cm)

  • Portraits of your pets that capture their personality and presence in a contemporary style. I work from your photographs to create paintings that honour the bond you share.

Ideal for: Pet owners wanting a colourful and joyous depiction of their beloved companions.

    Starting from: $250

  • Mixed-media pieces or conceptual work developed in response to your brief, location, or thematic need. This might include painting, printing, written elements, sculptural components, artist books, or work that explores ideas around presence, memory, and meaning-making.

My conceptual practice to date includes work with clay sculpture, gel printing, collage, and mixed media. Recent projects have explored themes of self-talk and personal transformation; and, cultural respect and memory.

Ideal for: Businesses seeking thought-provoking statement pieces, collectors with specific conceptual briefs, organisations needing thematic installations.

Pricing: Custom quotes based on scope, materials, and complexity. Initial consultation required.

The Commission Process

1. Initial Consultation (Free, 30 minutes)

We discuss your vision, the story or feeling you want to capture, intended location, timeline, and budget. I'll share relevant examples from my portfolio and determine if we're a good fit. This can happen via video call, phone, or in person at my Northcote studio.

2. Proposal & Agreement

Within one week, I provide a detailed proposal including concept approach, dimensions, materials, timeline (typically 6-10 weeks depending on size and complexity), and pricing. Upon agreement and 50% deposit, your commission is scheduled.

3. Development & Progress Updates

For portraiture and commemorative work, I typically request reference photographs and have a brief conversation about what matters most to you about the subject. For conceptual commissions, we may have additional consultations during the development phase. I provide progress photos at key stages.

4. Completion & Delivery

Before final delivery, you'll receive photographs of the completed work. The remaining 50% payment is due upon approval. Melbourne metro delivery or studio pickup included; interstate/international shipping available at cost.
