Somehow You Are Still a Part of This
Somehow You Are Still a Part of This is from the Bottled Up collection. Trivial objects left behind evoke the memories of their owner. I still have my dad’s favourite mug; books annotated in his handwriting; and this green carafe that was always in the fridge.
Shown in early 2025, the Bottled Up exhibition was a homage to my dad, who was a bottled-up kind of guy. But more than that, it’s also a comment on how we bottle things up as a culture.
Oils on canvas. 40.6cm x 30.5cm x 4cm. Stretched and ready to hang.
